I went back to my uro becasue I was not feeling better with the blue pills. He did a cyto at the office instead of the hospital, but it was not too bad. (i had a 9 pound baby with any meds, not by choice though), :yikes:

He put some stuff in that begings with a V. He wants me to start the DMSO routine in a few weeks. I guess I will smell like garlic afterwards from what I have heard.

I have been having symptoms for 1 month now. The last time was 2 1/2 years ago. The symptoms have gotten somewhat worse the last week or so. I am worried that it will get so bad that I will not be able to go back to work (I am an at home mom now, but I teach in real life.) :dizzy:

My husband did not have much to say. He said it will be ok. However, he does not feel like he has a burning match on his privates. I have looked at the food list and stopped the diet soda and such. What I do not understand is that I have always used diet soda, and all of those things with no ill effects. Why now?

I have been on South Beach Diet since mid MAy, and losts of those foods were on the problem list for IC :yikes: Low carb, and low acid. That should be fun.

I found a store that has that Prelief that I will go get later tonight. My mom is totally freaked out over the IC. To be honest that does not help me much.

I am sad but relieved that I know what is wrong. I guess I can get out of being the Brownie leader now.

I will really miss chocolate. it is a food group in my house.
I was also considering going back to work sooner then I planned, in case I am unable to work later.

I would appreciate any input.

I'm sorries you have this icky disease : (
As for your husband, it's quite common that others will have a hard time understanding the physical and mental pain of someone who has IC.
And the chocolate thing: not everyone finds chocolate to be a big trigger. I eat chocolate and find that it doesn't affect my IC anymore than most foods since it's milk chocolate not dark chocolate ;)
