I haven't felt very well the past few days, have felt just crummy, weak, sore, and REAL nauseated to the point of vomiting a couple times. This morning I have the shooting pains up the urethra to the bladder, and just feel yucky in general.

Even my shingles, which bother me on and off, require a lidocaine patch on to keep the pain and itching down.

When do you KNOW to call the doctor? How long do you wait before you call after symptoms start?

I feel silly asking this since I was a working RN not too long ago, and know what I'd tell anyone else, but I just HATE to bug my uro if its nothing..I know y'all know what I mean.

Thanks.....Sandy :dizzy:

Sandy, I think it is time to call. When you have new pain and with the nausea etc., I wouldn't hesitate to call. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Jolene,

Thats pretty much what I thought too, but just cant stand to bother him and it be nothing but some stomach virus he cant do anything about....and I wonder if the bladder sx I'm having are just from the IC and not from a forming infection.

Ugh...It just never ends does it?

ps...forgot to add.......does anyone ever have green urine? I might move this and make it a new thread. I've noticed so many times when I wind up in the hospital that I have green urine just before I get really sick, and thats without taking any antibiotics or pyridium or other bladder anesthetics. I notice a slight odor too very often, not so much foul, but a musky/salty urine odor.....I dont know how to explain it but its not a normal smell for urine.

Thanks, again, Sandy

The time to call the doctor's office is when you either know you need an appointment or if you don't know whether you need the appointment, but think you might.

You don't necessarily need to speak to the doctor --- the nurse can probably tell you whether you need to come in.

Warm hugs,

It seems unanimous then. I took all of your, and my own lol, advice, and called the nurse. She wants me to come in tomorrow afternoon if I'm not better. I really do feel I have to go after hanging around the house all day.......and the symptoms are getting worse, not better.

Thanks for giving me the kick in the butt I need.

Now, does anyone ever have green urine? I know it sounds bizzare, but I have it more often than not, even without a dx of infection sometimes and no other symptoms.

Thank you.......Sandy

Okay --- here comes a dumb question --- and I'll deny I asked, but do you have anything in your toilet to keep it white. Some of that stuff is a very pale blue, but when you add yellow urine, it turns green.

lolol Donna.....best guess I would have too.....I don't recal ever having true green urine that wasn't because of some med or something.....sorry gall....when in doubt...call the doc!

LOL.....no, no toilet bowl cleaners in my toilet. I, unfortunately, am the only toilet cleaner in the house. I wish it were that simple.

Even today I have green urine, with that odd odor, and while I do feel a bit better after sleeping 10 hours, I only got up to pee about 3 times, but with the green pee I am still going to see the doc today.

Wish me luck......hmmm....I guess I'm a freak of nature or something......lol

Hugs, Sandy
