After reading Rjyoon's post about her "friend" stealing her pain meds, I thought I might offer a suggestion about traveling with pain meds. If you have a hotel room or cruise ship cabin, with a safe, store your pain meds in it. They won't become a temptation to those who have access to your room. If you don't have a safe available, find a good hiding place. I have used tampon boxes in the past.

Good suggestion Darlene....actually all the cruise lines I've been on have had safes in the closet. You set your own code. And I always stored jewelry and msc. in them w/ no thefts.

It's so common that people steal pain meds! It just amazes me! Can you imagine, your friend or family stealing medication that you need??????

Oh Dixie-I know that was an old post but that is great! I had a problem with one of my son's friends stealing my pain meds. I started hiding them in an old purse in my closet when kids were there. I am worried about it when we go on vacation this spring but I think your idea is priceless!!

I think it is sooo stupid and just flat out rediculous for people to steal medicine!! I mean, that's dangerous!! The person who steals it might be allergisc to something in the meds they don't know theyr'e allergic to and have a serious side effect, possibly even OD on it!!! Anyway,I know it happens,so that sucks!!! But I'll be sure to remember the tip. I know my clumzy a** would have left my meds all out in the open!!!
