Help me with some Questions PLZ.

okay guys i'm trying to figure out if this is just me or does others have these problems.

I'm having a lot of pain in my right side. My appendix (sp?) was takeing out about three years ago. so I know it isn't that.
and I had two hunners taking off my right side back in May, but the doctor did say they would come back quickly due to the fact my bladder vessels was feeding the hunners :(

does anyone else have pain in there right or left side?

does anyone else have burning pain in there private area?
I have been having some burning down stairs on and off for as long as i can remember and really havent thought much about it because i have had it so much Like i do true UTI. so do you think its coming from my UTI's or is it something else?

low back pain. this is new to me i have always had back pain with a kidney infection but the back pain was in my kidneys area but this pain is straight across the bottom of my back very painful!

Does anyone else have this pain in the lower part of the back?

I have pain in my lower back, hips, thighs, and my privates all the time. I often have pain in the right kidney area also. One thing I have noticed when I am in severe pain is my abdomen will swell. Usually twice the size I am noramlly. Is this normal with everyone else as well? I can't wear my regular clothes then as they just want fit. I have to dig out some of the things I wore when I was a lot bigger.

I have heard other people here mention pain in one side.

The private area burning pain almost sounds like an infection, maybe?

I really can't address the pain you are having in your right side but I have frequently felt the genital area burning and discomfort. Two things come to mind about that. One is Vulvodynia. You might try eliminating high oxylate foods to see if that helps. The other thing you might consider is a yeast infection. Because you have such frequent UTIs and are often on antibiotics, I wonder if you could have a persistant yeast infection. Both of these possibilities are things you might want to talk to your doctor about.

Hi Rhonda... I get pain in both sides, actually. Some days its stabbing me in the right side, other days in the left. My uro says it is from the IC, and that a lot of her patients complain of side pain in addition to pain in the middle. I also get lower back pain - it runs across my back just above my butt.

I think Annie has some good advice about the burning private area... you need to bringt his up with your doctor at some point if it's new.

hi. i also get pain in my right side and my left side never at the same time though. I also get burning in my privet area. The doctor says it is not a infection though and i get lower back pain all the time. So you are not allown in your symptoms:)

Any time you have a new pain, I think it's a good idea to discuss it with your doctor.

Hi Rhonda, you are not alone, I have pain in my right side, I did have adhesions removed, and my doc said they may come back, some days it hurts more than others. I also have the back pain, and that comes and goes also, I take my pain meds for both. I did have the burning and hope that does not come back, I do not know if when my urethra was dilated, if that helped, but so far so good. It was very painful and constant, so do not know if it will reappear, I am keeping my fingers crosssed on that one.. I know they are all connected to my IC. I also get the abdomen swelling one of the other gals mentioned. IC affects so many different areas it seems, all connected with the lower half of the body. I do get left side pain due to severe scare tissue. I have had lower back pain and inflammation a few years.. Not sure what that is due to yet. Still diagnosing that problem.. I would talk to your doctor just to make sure....Hope your feeling better..

i also get pain up the right side. most recently i went off neurontin due to my hair falling out and the pain increased. i also have been vomiting for over 2 weeks off and on as well as diarrhea. i am waiting to see the specialist this friday. that was the quickest they could get me in. i also have been getting fevers. i may call the primary doctor this week to see if i should start antibodics or if she thinks it is the ic. my specialist made mention of endometriosis the last time i was there. he did a laparascopy 2 years ago and did not see any.

my lower back pain has been going on for two weeks now (NEW) the others has comes and goes I have had that for a while but this new back pain is driving me up the wall.
I'm going to call and see if i can get a appt with my uro. before I go crazy :dizzy:

I have had pain on my lower right side and it moves to left side as well most of my life. I was told a year ago that I had IC and that most likely that was the cause of that pain. The pain in my lower back is a newer symptom for me but some days it is like my entire lower back is going to break. I always thought that was the IC pain.

keep us posted on how you are doing. i hope the doctor can help you. i am expriencing similar problems. vicodin is not helping as much as i would like it too. i have an appt with my doctor on Friday. that was the soonest i could get in. i have been doing this for 3 weeks now! i am not sure how much more i can take it either. my thoughts are with you!!

I have lots of pain on my left side and across my back as well as the suprapubic pain. Luckily, I haven't had the trouble down there.

I had to take a double dose of my pain medicine to get it to ease off some then the pain medicine made me sick but i know why it made me sick it was because i havent been eating much.
at first the lady said it would be sept 2 before i could see my doctor I told her i had to see him sooner then that.
I told her my problems and told her i was having new systom that was worring me I also let her know i had to see my family doctor Friday so she went back and ask I guess the doctor he is very sweet and careing and knows i don't make a big deal out of things until it gets to bad. ggggrrrrrrrrr I know how stupid that is and right now i could kick my own butt for not doing something sooner i thought to my self this is just an infection i can take care of it myself. so i started taking leviquin 250 at home but that didn't do the trick after a few days of that and my systom got wrose i decided it was time for a doctor so i called thursday night and talked to the doctor on call and he told me to come in friday morning and give them a urine. (I was in so much pain!) but i had to wait until my husband got home to take me to the doctor and i didn't want to go to the ER. by the time he got home my uro's office was closed well they was still there but it was to late to give a urine. gggggrrrrrr. I was on hold forever so finally i hung up called my family doctor and was seen by him.
he told me urine infection with a kidney infection. yea just what i already knew now help me lol.
he gave me leviquin even tho i told him i already tried that but since that is my ace in the hole so to speak he thought that would help me and that i just hadnt took enough of it to clear the infection. now today will make five day of leviquin and i still don't feel any better:(
I pray that this infection hasnt set me up in my kidney if so boy am i'm in trouble the last thing i need is for that to set up there that is so dangerous.
well i will know more tomorrow I hope.
and will update you on what the doctor said tomorrow afternoon.
But
If i disapper for a few days you know why he sent me to the hosp.
I hope it isnt that bad. I don't think it is I hope it isn't. :confused: sorry to go on and on i'm scared and confused.

When I have pain on a side it is usually my endo.....back pain I have had many times when I flare or before elmiron worked for me. I so hope you feel better soon.

I don't exactly have a pain in my side, but it's more like a pressure, like two fingers are pressing into me just under my front ribs. I have had this for about eight years and saw several doctors. I did have a lower and upper G.I exam and that's when they told me I had IBS. But they never could figure out what was causing that odd pressure. It doesn't hurt, but I always feel like I have to pull out at my waistband all the time.

I've had cronic lower back pain for years. I do believe I have a herniated disc, but never had an MRI for that, but I did have an MRI for a herniated disk in my neck, and I went to PT off and on for about four years. It got better but then my jaw dislocated, then.... the IC.and on and on and on, one thing after another. :toilet:

hi guys this is what happen today.
i went to the doctor office after doing my urine test i have a small infection so the leviquin must be working but he said since i'm having so much pain on the right side he thinks that the hunners has came back and if i'm not better by friday to call him back he will go in and do another surgery to I guess removed it again he believes its growning into the bladder instead of growing out so that is what is causing most my pain

I get a really bad pain every month before and after my cycle on the lower - middle left side. I also have off and on really bad vaginal pains (sometimes burning or shooting pains), I have had the very bad lower back pain for years (which for me may be from the arthritis or fibro also), and engorgment down there. It is usually never a UTI for me. I hope you get it figured out and that you get some relief soon. Take care - Chris :)
