Hi everybody,

Well, today I am feeling really nauseated for some reason. It actually started last night while hubby and I were watching a video... I thought I may have eaten too much popcorn ;)

But, lo and behold, I'm still nauseated this morning. I've taken a Pepcid AC thinking maybe it's my reflux acting up. I've also taken a 250 mg Tigan (trimethobenzamide), which is an anti-nausea drug my uro prescribed the last time I was complaining of nausea. I kinda feel a little better, but I still have that "queasy" sensation and don't feel much like eating/drinking anything. Maybe it's a little bug or something (there are some going around, according to my husband); I'll talk to my doc if it doesn't go away in a day or two.

But... in the meantime, what are your favorite ways to feel better when your tummy is upset?

If I get a lot of good ones I'll put them together in a big Nausea Management list like Katrina's pain management list.

Jen,
I am sorry you are feeling so lousy. I hate that feeling. Things that help me the most are flat Sprite, saltine crackers and toast. I hope you are doing better soon.

:hmm:
I try to drink water only for the day. I'll curl up in bed with rice cakes, a heating pad, and a wet washcloth for my face and neck until it passes. My nausea comes with food allergies that will put me down for a day or two. Other than that I really don't know what to do. Looking forward to other's replies..........

I take Phenergan when my nausea gets bothersome. I try to eat crackers, dry cereal and drink water. Mostly rest...

Jen...so sorry that you are feeling poorly...a good southern word. What I do is drink a Sprite or 7-Up and burp, burp, burp. I know...not very lady like :tsk: but it sure makes me feel better. :D

I don't dare drink either sprite or 7-up --- both cause IC flares.

I take phenergan with pain meds to help avoid nausea. And if I get dizziness with it (a leftover from labrynthitis), I have meclizine, which is over the counter.

If I'm feeling a little iffy, I eat things like toast and limit my drinking to ice cold water in sips.

I hope you feel better soon.

Warm hugs,
Donna

Ok... I tried the Sprite because we happened to have some cans in the back of the fridge... and it is helping! After several sips, I felt a bit better, and then had a piece of dry white toast too.

Sharon, that's hilarious... but it works. I'm sitting here, drinking my Sprite, and burping with abandon, as I am home alone and can do what I please. :lmao:

Ok, I am going to go shower... my cat is sitting here licking my hair and face as if to say, "My God, woman, do I have to bathe your stinky self for you too??"

LOL :lmao:

I forgot one other thing too, I sometimes suck on peppermints. The peppermint oil is soothing to my stomach. I have to be careful with the sprite or 7-up or it will give me a flare. I let it sit out to take out fizz.

lol Jen! Just the list I need too!!!! :) My favorite is Pepto Bismo! My husband complains all the time that I take too much of it but my stomach is what is most affected by my IBS flares and I seem to be flared permanent at this time!

Hope you feel better Jen! Can't wait for that list!:grouphug:

Ok, I'm going to get working on the list :)

My nausea passed after about 24 hours, actually. Last night it tried to come back, but I fell asleep and this morning it is fine again. I think I had a little stomach bug or something. My husband said that the kids have only been back at school a week, and already they are throwing up... he has apologized profusely for bringing the disease home to me :)
