Hello,
Very new here...just got referral from my OB/GYN to see a urologist because he strongly suspect IC. My symptoms flare up inconsistently at this point. If the urologist decides on a cysto for definitive dx...do I have to be in a symptomatic flare time in order to see those glomerulations? OR will the visual signs be there even if I feel fine? Thanks so much...trying to learn all I can.

The gloumerations will be seen when the bladder is distended (the hydro) and I Don't think you have to be in a flare.

You do not have to be in a flare for the signs of IC to show --- and pain or lack of it will not effect the biopsies.

Warm healing thoughts,
Donna

I was not in a flare when I was dx'ed with IC.

Thanks so much for the quick responses! It makes me feel better that I don't have to try and time symptoms with doing a cysto. Hopefully I can see the urologist relatively soon and plan a course of action.
