Hi everyone. Along with IC, I also suffer from Fibromyalgia (daignosed 11 years ago) and am undergoing tests to rule out diabetes, thyroid problems, etc. because I have been experiencing horrible, horrible fatigue. In the past, when I'd have a Fibro-flare, the fatigue might last a day or two. But, this has been going on for weeks. My dear husband, who is in Family Medicine, says I have all the symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Dysfunction Syndrome. Thus, the ruling out of other disorders. When I haven't been at work or trying to prepare meals for my family, I've been in bed.
I was diagnosed with IC a few months ago, underwent 6 weeks of DMSO therapy and WAS feeling better...until yesterday. I had had a few twitches of pain here and there (I'd take UTA for those), but yesterday I began to feel a soreness in my bladder that is worse with movement or if I touch my tummy. Is this the IC? The original IC pain was a sharp pain that felt as though my bladder was turning completely over. I have taken the UTA, but it doesn't seem to help this. I am really, really scared. The mind can play horrible tricks on you when you're in pain! The "C" word keeps coming to mind. Does anyone else experience the "soreness" I am describing?
I work part time at a local Quilt Shop. I love my work, but even that is becoming more difficult as pain and fatigue are taking their toll. I am so scared. Please tell me that others who suffer with IC experience the same feelings.
Thanks so much!
