Due date: March 25, 05
# of Pregnancy (1st, 2nd, etc): Our first pregnancy
Gender (if you know): Too early to tell
How long have you had IC: Diagnosed July 98 (symptoms began Oct 97)
How has your IC been so far with this pregnancy: So far it's about the same as before Pregnancy began. My "normal IC" is 20-30 times per day Frequency. Burning and pain daily. (some days better than others).
Any meds/treatments: Keflex to prevent UTI, New Chapter Perfect Prenatal Vitamins, Pyridium if needed. I'm trying to stay off meds for atleast the first trimester.
Misc: I had spotting on Aug 10, so I'm getting more rest and being cautiously optimistic that pregnancy will be healthy.

Hi all,
Sorry it has been a while since I last wrote.
Our baby is due 9/17/04.
He (name possibly Jonathon Gregson after my and my husband's brother) joins a family with an older sister, Ellen who's 3.
I have had IC since I was 26, now I'm 35.
I went into remission with the pregnancy with Ellen, but remission this time has been elusive. Much pressure on the bladder, especially at night with frequent wakings.
No meds -- was on Elmiron up until I learned I was pregnant.
Only have 4.5 weeks -- look forward to welcoming the new one (which will probably be our last.)

I am 33 weeks pregnant with our third child and second little girl. I was diagnosed with IC last August so this is my first pregnancy with IC. I did fine up until 10-12 weeks and then the frequency really picked up. I have to pee almost every second of every day. It can really wear you down! I am up many, many times during the night as well. I have been reassured of the safety of hydroxzine (atarax) at this stage in my pregnancy so I resumed it. My ob also gave me the go ahead to resume instills of elmiron. It is class B so I'm not sure why more do not stay on it. I suppose out of taking the utmost precaution, which is what I have done most of my pregnancy. My ob thinks at this point it would be best to take treatment and try to get my IC under control rather than risking an irritated bladder triggering preterm labor. Still, I havent' resumed the elmiron instills yet. I am hoping for some relief after the baby is born. I would think (hope) that having all that weight and pressure off my bladder would bring some level of improvement. Best wishes to all of you.

# of Pregnancy (1st, 2nd, etc): 4th pregnancy, 3rd baby, miscarrage between #1 and #2
Gender (if you know): Wouldn't cooperate 100% during ultrasound at 20 weeks. Tech said a girl if she had to guess. This will be girl #3. Having a very hard time coming up with a name so if anyone has any suggestions please help!!
How long have you had IC: March, 1998
How has your IC been so far with this pregnancy: Started the pregnancy in a remission that had lasted about 2 years. Pain/pressure started at 10 weeks and has continued ever since.
Any meds/treatments: No meds taken. Take prelief, calcium/magnesium and acidophilis daily. Unable to tolerate prenatal vitamin, not even folic acid. Pyridium has been okayed, but reluctant to take it.
