Things went fine, he wouldnt do the hydro because he knows how little pain I can handle and decided to use the "rule out" method. He found nothing unusual. He used a small scope on me as compared to the first uro that I thought ripped my urethra apart. The first uro had used a #22french, this one used a #17french. I didnt swell like a balloon like I did in the previous one. I can go bathroom pretty ok. Just have this "dry" feeling lol. He said w/all the info I had given him previously, (the clear urine culture copies, clear ivp, clear ultrasound, all the symptoms and meds that didnt help and lord knows what else I had informed him on lol.) and the fact everything in the bladder looked fine, hes going to continue to treat me for IC. I am fine w/that I know what "it" is and I know what to expect and how to treat it. Its one of those relief things to have the definite word from the uro that I am fine otherwise, meaning no cancer or oddities. I woke up in the post op 20 min after the procedure, but they made me stay almost an hour because my blood pressure was low, I looked at the monitor when I woke up and it was around 75/55 and my norm is 110/60. Mostly groggy because of some freaky dreams all night, woke up a lot from them, I know its from the anest. but boy and I tired lol!!! I am very happy w/the treatment I received from eveyone at the hosp. and my uro too, I had a ton of things written down to ask and he went over each n every one of them w/me. I go for a follow up visit w/him on Sept. 17th. Since his wife has it too, he pretty much knew what I was going to ask lol. Answered things before I finished asking. But I am feeling ok right now. Just mostly lazing around on the couch watching soaps and the weather channel for the hurricane reports. Thanks everyone for all the prayers and words of encouragement!!!! (((HUGS))) all around!

Yes I like this uro, my friend that took me yesterday liked him too. Hes to the point but not harsh at all! And yes the fact that his wife has it is the big one in the decision to stick w/em. Hes keepin me on the Elmiron and Elavil, nothing else since they seem to take care of most of it, going to talk to him about "upping" the elavil (I am on 10mg) because its not doing as much to help at night, I mean, I am better than w/out it but I think my body is too used to such a small am't. Sooooo, Katrina, what soaps ya watch??? I mainly watch Days. LOL

Oh, Dawn, I'm so relieved everything went okay for you :grouphug: :)

Great! Now, I think you totally deserve to stay on the couch, watching TV and resting! That is the best way to heal up from these types of procedures. :)

Have a good weekend, and I hope you continue feeling better.

Thanks Sarojini you enjoy your weekend too, I think I may treat myself to a heaping bowl of vanilla ice cream!! MMMM MMMM!!!! ;) This is the most positive thing thats happened dealing w/the tests for IC. So I feel quite confident w/the uro.

Aha!!! Good to see that things went ok. I was worried about you. I guess I should go delete my other worried post lol. Gotta go to carpool, and of course, go pee first. I hope things work out for you. you have been thru sooooooooo much and sure dont deserve any more pain or anxiety from this cursed IC. Take care hon. Know I havent forgotten you or anyone else on here. Just school taking me away from my beloved computer lol. Hugs, Sandy
