do any of you have clear discharge? It seems as though when i go to the bathroom and whipe i have clear discharge a lot. I asked my uro about it and he said it could be from my vaginal area or bladder hard to say but said its not common with IC ive been checked for everything vaginally and i go back to GYN Friday to make sure but Im not sure if its from my bladder.....No smell no color just more then i use to.....thanks

I've noticed the same thing with myself since I have had IC. I have no idea what's causing it either. I've only noticed this happening after I'd had got IC back 8 years ago.
Definitely would be interesting to know what's causing this.

I have it too :) It's just a clear discharge sometimes, no foul odor and no sign of infection. My gyno checked me out and found nothing, of course. My uro says she's heard other IC patients complain of this symptom too, but does not know why it happens. I don't know... but needless to say you are not alone! :grouphug:

When I still had periods (I am postmenopausal) and way before IC, I used to have a clear discharge before and after that looked like egg whites.

After reading the posts on the Newly Diagnosed board, I guess I could describe it as looking like "whale snot" :biglaugh: . Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. (If you haven't read those posts as yet, I highly reccomend you do so if you want a good laugh.)

Anyway, I digress...once my periods stopped, so did this discharge.

I have had it before, too. I mostly had it when I was pregnant but still get it from time to time. It's rare when it happpens. I wish a doc would come up with an answer because it is kinda a strange thing. And it is like "whale snot!" :lmao:

I also have that discharge. I never asked my urologist about it. I feel like I'm dripping all the time, does anyone else have this problem?

If this is a vaginal discharge it sounds like the cervical mucous that is secreted during ovulation. It is clear and copious. If this is what it is, you should notice the discharge around mid-cycle (usually somewhere in between days 12 to 18, depending on the length of your cycle).

I have IC and had a hysterectomy 20 years ago. I don't notice a discharge, so maybe it is what Jeanne said.

Hi there! I have had discharge constantly for as long as I can remember even before IC. I have spoken with my gyn and family doctor and they both told me that some women just naturally have constant discharge. Mine has a yellow hinge to it, but more of a thick mucous like subastance. It also feels drippy at times. Both doctors have assured me it's normal. Aside from being annoying - there's no smell or problems with it - nor sign of infection. I guess i'm just lucky (joking).

I hope this helps. It's a bit personal, but good to know I'm not the only one.
