I went to the ER at 10:30 again tonight. I took two Loratabs and the pain was still unbearable. I had to wait about a hour and a half, just to get in there. The nurse who brought me in, said they had some things going on so she didn't know how long it was going to be before I saw the doc. She told me to get in a gown and she would bring a warm blanket back. Well, she never came back so I had to wait a hour and 20 minutes before anyone came in.

The doc came and hadn't even looked at my chart from yesterday. He grabbed a sheet out of the closet cuz I'm sure he saw me shaking cuz I was so cold. He asked about bladder, bowel, or pelvic problems...which if he would have took 30 seconds to read my papers he would have saw my history. Then asked if I'm sexually active. I said NO I have had sex probably five times in the past year cuz of my pain, and I told him we haven't had sex since my hyst. He pushed on my stomach, then asked what I had done yesterday(such as tests). I told him and it hurt so bad I wasn't doing all that again. I explained it had been my first day back at work. He told me he wanted to check my blood and urine and get me something for pain. I had to wait about another 15 minutes to do the urine test then by the time I got back to the room she was there for my blood. Right after I got a shot of Morphine..then they had Derek's cousin come back there. I told her what had been going on, and she said she had asked at the desk about me 20 minutes before, so we're figuring the nurse called back to find out what was going on with me and thats when the doc finally came in.

My blood came back fine and my urine showed white blood cells but said that could be from the IC. He said he would send me home with stronger pain meds..Oxycodone 7.5 and gave me a high dose of Tordol. he said he felt my internally bleeding wasn't a emergency surgery, and told me to call right away in the morning to see my doc and he will do a lap to find out what if the fluid is blood or something else, and where its coming from. My doc is in surgery all day tomorrow so I probably won't see him till Tuesday morning. He does surgery on Thursdays so I'm assuming that I'll probably have a lap then.

At least this trip wasn't as bad. but I will still be making a formal complaint tomorrow. Derek took the kids to her house...we didn't get back till 4am cuz we went to get my pills, and while we waited got some good sale items from Walgreens.
So she said she'd keep the kids for the next few days or more if I need it.

Well I'm off to get some sleep.

Again thanks for all the support and I'll keep ya'll posted!!

I just finished reading your other post. I hope you do write a letter regarding both visits. As an ER nurse myself, I'm shocked at the treatment they gave you or didn't give you. As a nurse I know that we do get busy at times, but your pain should have been dealt upon you getting into the room. A lot of times we deal with drug seekers and sometimes nurses get jaded against some people in pain...but if someone is crying, etc I know that they are in true pain. (That's why I hate drug seekers....they make people who really in pain get unfair treatment at times). Write them that letter and send it to everyone important at that hospital...no one should ever be treated that way!!!!

:grouphug:  :grouphug:  Hi Jodee, Sorry you are still suffering so much....it upsets me that you have had such terrible experiences at the ER.....and it really does seem to me that you got the help you did get because Derek's Cousin asked about you.....you waited an hour and 20 minutes after getting a room and the fact you got helped at that point seems to be by chance. I would be complaining about that too as I would about the post from yesterday....you poor girl. ((((((((((((((((((((giant hug)))))))))))))))))) I wish I could help you.

Thanks girls for all the comments! I am so happy I have support groups to go speak my mind when I need to. I also forgot to mention how the doc barely listened to me yesterday. He di NOT even look at my paperwork before he came in. Asked me about bladder, bowel, and pelvic problems. I told him I have IC, and have endometriosis...and had a abdominal hyst 8 weeks ago. So he comes over and pokes all on my tummy, then starts to walk away and said it could be fluid from my uterus....Uhhh HELLO I just told him I had a hyst. I also told him about the problem with the incision splitting open since the staples were removed...Didn't even look at it, but then comes back maybe 20-25 minutes later and said I was reading the report from the day before...So I guess this Doctor didn't care that much either, he wasn't listening to a thing I said to him obviously:(

I talked to the triage nurse at my gyns off this morning and I'm still waiting for her to call back. She was going to talk to the doc on call during her lunch break...well its almost 3:00 here now. I'm thinking maybe they wanted to talk to my doctor when hes done with his surgerys, to see what he wants to do. The nurse asked if the doc at the er said what would probably happen, and I told her he said my doc would probably do a lap and remove the fluid.

So I'm just waiting here patiently....Yeah right

Ugh, I am so sorry for your terrible experiences. It seems if you are not bleeding everywhere or have a visible wound the emergency room is not very quick to tend to you (I’ve had my own experiences with this!)

I hope your tests provide some good answers & best of luck to a recovery to you
