Hello everyone,
I have posted in the past about being extremely tired and lately have been feeling competely achy and have had a sore throat for about a week with out having any cold or flu. I get symptoms of light headedness, light and smell sensitivity, sore throat, pain in muscles and bones and many more.....
My mom was a RN before and thinks it could be one of these four things
Low Blood sugar, Anemia or CFS/FMS. I find with my lightheaded spells it helps when I lay down and rest. What I want to know is how did your doctors go about diagnosing you? Mine doesn't always like to listen to me. :shake: Also what are some things that I can do to help with this?
Thanks for reading

I'm thinking you really need to see your doctor if this is a continuing problem.

I get some nasty dizzy spells, I do have FMS/CFS. I go through bouts where I feel like I have the flu, but no fever or anything. Laying down, and resting when you need to, helps, but like Donna said, you should get to a doctor to really find out what's going on, in the event that it's not any of the above problems. Good luck, keep us posted!

Definitely see your doc and push for an answer (hard to do, I know!). Unfortunately both CFS and Fibro are diagnosed based on exclusion. For fibro, they also ck tender points throughout the body and for CFS you have to have had symptoms for a certain period of time. I also get terrible dizziness and vertigo- lately I've been dreaming that have vertigo and then I wake up and the room is actually spinning! Also, I get that "almost going to pass out feeling." I think it's another way our bodies aren't regulating themselves properly. If you doc won't help, insist on seeing a rheumatologist- they can diagnose these things.
Good luck- I hope you get relief soon!

Turns out actually part of my problem that had gone un diagnosed for a while is that I've had a sinus infection which I've been fighting for quite sometime and was just put on meds a couple of days ago. Otherwise we are looking into fixing my knees(very badly knock kneed). I think my doctor is going to wait until after this infection is cleared up before we rule out anything else. I'll keep posted on any new news.
Right now I have a really bad head cold/Swollen adenoid glands which weren't like that a couple of days ago. So I guess just like how my ic is it was hiding from the doctor lol.
Thanks for replying.

I would definately say to find a doctor that will help you. They test sometimes to rule out other things such as Lupus, Thyroid problems, Reumatoid Arthritis, Lyme disease, and other rthings. After they rule those out they will send you usually to a rheumatologist who will then do more tests. They found out I have Ulcerative Colitis, Fibromyalgia with overlapping Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, psoriatic Arthritis, Psoriasis, and Ankylosing Spondylitis. Not saying that they will find anything that like in you. So please don't let any of that scare you. Just trying to give you some info on how I got diagnosed and the process I've been through. Anyways I hope that you find something out soon and will feel better soon. Take care - Chris
