I just had my cysto with water...something... under anethesia, yesterday morning. The only reason I'm able to get on is because of a laptop I have to use laying down in bed. I'm having this horrid problem that is making me not being able to rest at all! The pain not too bad, the burning when urinating hurts really bad, but I got medicine to help that, and pain pills. But I'm having very very bad frequent urination! Like every 10-15 minutes. Last night I hardly slept at all, because of continually have to go to the bathroom. I have been following thr IC diet, so I don't think it is anything I ate. Is this problem normal? I'm so tired, I just want to rest, but spending all the time on the toilet!! Anything I can do to help this, or just got to wait it out?
Cystoscopy with hydrodistension can increase symptoms. I'd give your doctor's office a call & let them know how bad the frequency is. They may be able to give you something for it (if your current meds don't already treat that).
What I found helpful when I had that level of frequency is to try to stay relaxed & not panic, lie down on my side with pillow between knees, breathe slowly & distract myself with video. It's Friday, so you've probably got at least 3 days before you have to go anywhere, right? And you're a student, so you're still on break??
That symptom really stinks, I hope you feel better soon!!! (In a week or 2 you may even feel better than before the procedure!)

The frequency you are experiencing right now is not unusual after a hydrodistention. The symptoms should ease within a few days. When I have one done, I spend one night in the hospital with a catheter so the worst part is over before I go home, but most people do go home the same day.
Hang in there --- and if you're not better by tomorrow, I suggest a call to your doctor.
Warm hugs,

Frequency and burning is VERY normal after this type of procedure, your symptoms should subside in 1-3 days, if they don't I would call the doc...
Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the replies!!! I figured I would have bad bladder pain, and burning after, but didn't realize the frequency would be this bad!!! The main thing is it getting in the way of sleeping!!! But oh well, at least my pain hasn't been too horrible. I'm sure I'll be ok again in a few days.

Frequency is also a big sign of infection. Watch for burning after urinating. Did he put you on an antibiotic?
