FYI oral surgery

I found out the other day I have to have another root canal done. I was asking the endodontist about whether or not he felt I would need to go off of the Elmiron before surgery as it has some very mild blood thinning properties. He said no, I did not need to and that even when someone is on the "real" blood thinners they do not need to go off of them for a root canal. He said it's messier wink , but not dangerous.

Just letting you know, thatI just finished 3 seperate rounds of oral surgery while being on Elmiron. I had NO PROBLEMS any of the times. I also check with my pharmacist on everything as well. I don't want anything to mess up my elmiron.

Same with me. For some reason, I don't take it that morning --- psychological effect, I guess --- but it is a really mild blood thinner, so I have not had any problems. Now if only I could avoid the tooth/gum surgeries eek

I was told that too :) I didnt even stom my elmiron b4 my interstim surgery:)
