Hello everyone,
Somebody mentioned in one of the threads that there is a difference between IC and Cystitis. What is Cystitis, and how does it differ from IC? Thanks, Michelle

Cystitis is an infection in the bladder, sometimes called urinary tract infection, or UTI for short, and can usually be cleared up with antibiotics. Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is an inflammatory condition of the bladder, which is treatable, but not currently curable.

I concer with Donna, of the difference between Cystitis and Interstitial Cystitis. Cystitis is a uti that can be cleared up by antibiotics. Interstitial Cystitis is a not caused by bacteria which means it can not be cleared up by antibiotics. I hope you find what you want to know...
