Having Cystoscopy while sick???

Ok I do need to call my doctor about this, but I was wondering what you all think first. I have been feeling pretty the last couple of days, and today decided its probably a virus or the flu. And when I get sick it lasts at least 2 weeks! So has anyone been sick when having there cystoscopy? Do you think it is ok? I do want to get it over with, but don't want to if its not safe, or will make me much worse. Plus how long is the recovery time before things are bakc to normal? Jus wondering cause there are some things I want to do before summer is over. Thanks to any replies!!

Only your doc can decide if it is safe for you to go through with it, I would start off by calling him. The healling process is different for each person, but on the average you should feel fine in 1-3 days... Good luck!!!!

I agree that you need to ask your doctor. And if you have a fever, you also need to consider whether you might be exposing others to your "bug."

Well my fever and sore throat has subsided, so I'm going to have my surgery tomorrow after all. I still feel horrible, but between being sick, having endo, IC, and whatever else I always do!!! My Mom called yesterday and canceled, but then called back today and they still have my opening, so sometime tomorrow. Wish me luck! :P I'll be back in a few days or so when I'm feeling better, even though gonna have a lot of email to catch up on!
