I saw in one of the other threads that a lot of you ICer's use Thermacare patches frequently. So, last night I thought I would try one. Usually at bedtime is when my bladder starts to hurt. I bought the menstrual cramp sized Thermacare and followed the directions and laid down and fell asleep. About two hours later I woke up and my back was killing me!! So, half-asleep, I move the patch from my lower abdomen to my lower back. I proceeded to toss and turn for the next three hours until I finally woke up, pulled the patch off and went back to sleep. Today I feel like I've been hit by a truck!!!!!!!!! My bladder has been hurting, my back is sore, I have general muscle achiness all over!! I'm not sure if its the patch, the weather or what!

Does anyone have any ideas????????????

Have you tried an ice pack? Usually if my bladder hurts, a flexible gel ice pack is best for me. Occasionally I'll use the Thermacare or BodiHeat patches, but mostly I prefer ice. I guess the only way you'll know if it was the patch or not is to try it again, but I know I'm usually not too excited about repeating things that might have been a problem.. Don't know, but hoping you feel better soon.

I also love them they are a God sent in many cases for me.
but heat may not be the answer for you this time try ice pack like kadi said if do you have any pain medicine you can take? IF none of this works or your medicine you have at home please call your doctor and get his advice if unable to reach your doctor and the pain is real bad please go to the er for treatment.
sending you hugs and prayers
