HI im a 18 year old and i have IC. i have known for the past 2 months and i am currently been treated with a thing called steriod injections. i am sooo over going to the toilet heaps and my doctor has told me that i am realllllyyy bad.

Hello Heylee86, welcome to the ic network. I have never had steriod injections, but if you need my help in another area I am here. I am really sorry that you are not doing so well right now. I also had I.C. when I was 20 but I had periods of remisson all through until I hit 40 . Its hard when your young and told something like this. :butterfly Most of us did have it when we were your age but they did not tell us because they were not sure what it was. Depending on your symptions there are alot of medications like Elmiron that really helped me. A good family doctor and urologist can tell you what kind of help you can get. I hope you keep comming to this web site for support and ideas as you go through this. :)

:welcome: to the boards... I know the feeling of being sick of going to the bathroom, believe me!! I think everyone here is in agreement on that :) I'm sorry you are going through all of this, and I hope you are able to find relief from the treatments you're doing now. Good to see another Aussie on the Network unfortunate for the wrong reason, I live in Melbourne and I hope you can cope like we all do, it is hard but life is still worth it.
