Just a thought - when I look at how many people have chosen cat avatars, I have to wonder if exposure to cats has anything to do with our IC. :cat: :lmao:

Hate to admit it, but the thought did cross my mind that I got sick only a few months after getting my first kitty. Even went & got allergy tested.

:cat: I love cats to and have 3 of them. I recently changed my avitar to a cat as well. Cats are comforting to me when I'm. not well. My favorite cat Andy is a Orange cat :cat: He talks to me and when he wants attention he buts his head against me. My sons cat Oreo is of course black and white cat and is very affectionate to. Samantha the black cat acts like a typical girl and is my oldest sons pet.
She is a one owner cat and my son calls her bubbles when she is complaining to him. I often wonder how long cats live for because they are only 3 years old and when we move when the kids are gone they will be almost 10 years old. I always give them their shots and deflea medicine every 6 months so I try to keep them as healthy as I can.
I can't think of any cat tales now, its quite hot today and I think I am going to go to the air conditioned room!!! :woohoo: If you have any good cat stories let me know.

This is our favorite cat story:
Before my husband and I married, I was living with a female roomate who had a giant, ugly, rotten-smelly-mouthed orange tom-cat. My little gray tabby cat Hootie could only hold her own in the house because she has a ton of personality, but even Hootie steered clear of this orange tomcat. (For one thing he was twice her size!)
One time my future husband was cuddling with me on the bed when the orange tomcat came up and walked on our legs. Brandon moved his leg to try to get the cat to go away, and before we knew it the cat had sunk his long yellow fangs into Brandon's foot, just like a rotten zombie-cat! But at the same time, this gray blur flew past us and straight into the orange tom, knocking him to the floor. Hootie, my little cat, stood with her back arched and her fur bristling between Brandon and the orange tomcat, just daring the tom to "step across the line." The tomcat was so shocked that he growled and slunk away. At that time, Hootie had only known my husband for nine or ten months. He was completely won over by her bravery and her desire to protect him. (He was also mad as heck about the puncture wounds in his foot!) :lmao: :cat:
