Anti-spasmodics

My doctor gave me some samples of a drug called Uni-Det, which is an anti-spasmodic. He said it might help reduce my pain.

Has anyone else found any success in using anti-spasmodics as part of their IC therapy?

I have not heard of this drug, maybe it's something that is only available in Canada or sold in the US under a diff name? Let us know how it works out for you. Beth

The generic name is tolterodine L-tartrate, if that helps.

Here they call that drug Detrol LA --- at least they share the same generic name. I take it as part of my IC regimen. It has helped me in combination with some other meds. It didn't help me that much in isolation, but now each time I have tried to stop I flare.

Some people say it makes them retain - but that wasn't a problem for me.
