Has anyone ever tried coconut? Is it bad??? I saw some coconut sherbet and wondered if it was on the "no-no" list?

Coconut doesn't bother me. Be sure to read the label carefully. I suggest you just try a little bit until you are sure.

I'm not sure of the brand, but I got it at A&P, a grocery store. I have been craving ice cream and was looking for anything I MIGHT be able to tolerate.
I'll find out the brand name and let you know....I'll also let you know how well I tolerate it....I plan on pigging out on it tonight. :evilsmile

Coconut is okay for me if it's not preserved with "metabisulfite". So, if I want coconut for a recipe, I get it at the health food store! If the sorbet works out for you, please share the brand with us:) (So we can pig out with you!)

I'm glad you brought up the question of coconut, danielle, because I've been wondering about it myself! I have a wonderful macaroon recipe, but since my last few flares I've been reluctant to try anything new.
Look forward to hearing the results of your coconut ice cream test!
