I took Cipro 500 mg twice a day for 7 days, and felt much better while I was on it, and much worse 24 hrs. after I went off. I was doing an experiment; bacteria was never found, but I figured I couldn't feel that bad without an infection, maybe it's just not being detected. I can certainly vouch for the anti-inflammatory effect that it had on my bladder. It calmed down my IBS as well. I then went to a chronic prostatitis website (the similarities between posts on that site and the ICN boards was remarkable) and was amazed to find that many antibiotics have been found to have this effect on various inflammatory conditions. I just think this is very interesting and wanted to share the experience and info. Too bad we can't just take antibiotics all the time, oh well!

You might want to talk to your doctor about possibly taking an anti-inflammatory without the antibiotic. There are many on the market. I personally can't take them without gastric distress, but if you can tolerate them, it just might help you.

Sending warm healing thoughts,
