I think with bowl problems so bad, IC, and Endo PFD was inetable.....and so far I really wonder if surgery may help me since physical therapy has determined to not be fully successful for me. Scar tissue may be contributing to my problem.....does anyone know if scar tissue weakening my pelvic floor is more fixable through surgery? My husband and I are in dire need of some hope. Thanks for any knowledge you can provide.

I wish I knew the answer for you. I did have some surgery to lift my pelvic organs back to where they need to be, but I don't think it was because of scar tissue --- wish I could help.

Hey Donna,
You rmessage makes it sound like you had surgery for pelvic organ prolapse. That interests me because I have that problem too (I'm only 32, but some of us just get lucky with our first childbirth!) :)
What was the surgery like, if you don't mind describing it, and how long was the recovery period?
Thanks,

The surgery wasn't bad at all. I had a spinal for it, but they gave me so much pre-op that I don't remember the OR after I had the spinal. I was supposed to spend only one or two nights in the hospital, but I did my nausea and vomit routine so ended up staying longer.
I really didn't feel bad when I came home. The biggest restriction is with lifting and I wasn't allowed to do any lifting at all for about two months. My surgery was done vaginally so I didn't have an abdominal incision to heal, which makes it much, much easier.
I haven't regretted the surgery at all --- it was done in early November of 2003.
