Does anyone else have this symptom???

Since the birth of my daughter a year and almost a half ago, I have had such a horrid feeling of urgency and sharp tingling in my URETHRA with every step I take. I don't walk much anymore because of how severe it is. I can only describe it as overwhelming need to pee with each step, as it jiggles my bladder. Does anyone else have this? I used to just have mostly symptoms of pressure and pain up higher in my bladder. Now it is alot of urethra pain. And the feeling that I am not emptying my bladder all the time.
Anyone else have alot of trouble walking because of this? I would so appreciate any replies. Now when I do go for a short walk, I wear depends and hardly walk at all.

I have always had pain in my urethra. I would not describe mine as tingling but rather mine is burning. I also can't walk much especially if it is hot (like it is now). Sometimes I can't walk through the grocery store. I don't feel urgency as much as total discomfort, which I know will turn into pain if I do not quit (and sometimes it is pain anyway.....I guess I don't listen to my body soon enough) and going to the bathroom doesn't always help.
I hope you find something that will help and soon.

I know what you mean; trouble walking sometimes. I hope that both of you have a urologist who knows about IC. Mine does and yet.......... I am praying for you and my heart goes out to you as I am well aquainted with the various faces of IC.

While this is a symptom of IC please asked to be checked for PNE & PFD. They can mimic IC too or be in conjuction with it.

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN:( . I TOO HAVE THIS!! I WAS NEWLY DIAGNOSED A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AND HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH TESTS RIGHT NOW! I CAN'T HARDLY WALK TO THE BATHROOM FROM THE BEDROOM SOMETIMES WITHOUT THIS SYMPTOM.
I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PRETTY ACTIVE. AND FOR THE LAST YEAR THE URGENCY AND PRESSURE HAS STOPPED ANY OF THIS. I HAVE GAINED ALOT OF WEIGHT DUE TO THIS. IT SUCKS. THIS IS WHAT I SAY TO IT ALL:toosh: HA, HA! I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DO THAT FOR A WHILE!
MY PROBLEM RIGHT NOW IS FEELING SO PHYSICALLY ILL. I HAVE BEEN FEELING VERY VERY NAUSEAED AND SO.........TIRED.
I HATE THIS DISEASE!

Hi!
I have the exact same symptoms and it depresses the heck out of me. The good news is that it gets better after I use Prelief tablets for a few days. Stay away from perfumed and bacterial soaps and dab very gently with soft toilet paper after each voiding. I treat my urethral area as if it were a newborn - if not- I suffer terribly. About two hours ago, I popped one half of a Tylenol 3 to give me a break. The thought of sex makes me cringe and I'm lucky that my husband has a halo on his head (not all of the time of course-LOL!!!). I hate to sound like a druggie, but Ativan helps a great deal too. Have you talked to your urologist? Maybe they could perscribe some medication to help with the urgency and pain. Good luck. :)
