Message Board Upgrades

Hi everyone. We are completing our second level of message board upgrades this week. This will bring us to the latest, greatest version of Vbulletin. So, if you find that the boards are down at times.. that's why!

Yeah, it's always the post counts and join dates that get screwed up when we transition software. This is a completely new software package and database set up... and it never seems to import the dates and other user data correctly. But, atleast it's gotten the passwords. I'll let Sinan, our programmer, know.

Surpirse, surprise, surprise...new look, lots of exploration and some getting used to the boards, once again. Just when I start to get comfortable, things change. One never knows what one is going to find when entering into the world of the ICN. :D :confused:

I wish we didn't have to uncheck the Remember me? box when signing on. I think it would be simpler to check it if a person wanted the computer to remember them.......... This means every single time I sign on, I have to uncheck the box. If a person wanted the computer to remember them, wouldn't they only have to check it once.

I must admit at first site of the new board to day it was scary BUT it only took me a few mins to figure them out i can find everything easily the colors are soft but yet nice. I really Like the quick reply also.

Last night I posted a response to a prayer request. Later two others responded to the same prayer request I did. Instead of the original post being responded to by email I got the responses from the other persons.

I am not sure how that happened but somewhere it is programed incorrectly.

If someone wants to call me on the phone so I can describe what exact prayer request I am talking about and who the response on my email please PM me back. I was unsure where to post this message and how to keep it private. :yikes: :idea:

Got a few questions. Trying tofigure out where everything is. Before when you went to User CP there was a buddy list thing, is that option gone now, or somewhere else? And also when we logged on before it showed us the users on and how many, is that anywhere, or is it gone now? But besides that I'm slowly getting the hang of it. It looks cool, thanks!

The buddy list is under "Quick Links" and the info about users signed on and birthdays is now at the bottom of the main screen. :D

Hi this is Andrea here (Andcohen) I also had been away & came back to a whole new look which will be great when I can find my around. At the moment though I'm just having trouble signing in. THe story goes ages I registered on the boards as Panda, but at that never really participated in much. Any basicialy had forgotten ubout the whole thing when I now have regestired as Andcohen Which is the name I wish to use. I had lost my password & requested a new one when I stsrted getting one back for panda & andcohen. I dont wont use the name panda anymore. Everytime I go into edit my password it wont work.. What do i put in the section when It says enter your pressent password??? I don't have one thats why I requested a new one :bonk: Everytime I look at tis board over the last couple of weeks I have been trying to work this out but to no avail. I have already asked jill & dont want to annoy her again she would have a enough on her plate.
Please can some run me through this in very simple terms for a very simple comp person.
