Despite the pain I feel,

I am thankful for:

My husband's unwavering love and support.

My beautiful daughter's smile and "oh, Mommy, is your bladder hurting?"

My baby boy who looks at me with his huge brown eyes and says, "dada!"

Both my children are gifts from God given to us by strangers. God has restored what four surgeries have taken away.

I am thankful for my friends, Dee and Dina who are both healthy and yet they accomodate me without complaint.

I am thankful for everyone who has shared my pain, encouraged my spirit, and reassured me that things will get better.

Five days ago I was praying that God would just take me home. Today I am praising Him and rejoicing in a GREAT day!

Oh Sisters, be thankful for the good days and thankful for the painful ones too.

Cari,
that was such a sweet sentiment that you shared with us, thank you for that! It is always nice to get a happy post on these boards, as so many of us struggle just to get thru every day. But your post has been an inspiration to me. I will try to see the good in each new day and be glad that God has given me one more...yet like you, sometimes I wish He would take me home. Cari, I guess they are not ready for us yet! We, along with all of our IC friends will stick together and tough this one out!!All the best to you my dear! Sheri G

By the way, your children sound adorable. From the way you phrased your post,I assume that you are an adoptive parent. I am as well, to three beautiful children who are my world. Aren't we lucky to have been able to build our families that way???:)

Thanks for your replies everyone! Even though things are painful, we still have to be thankful or we can become bitter.

Yes, Sheri, my two children are both adopted. I AM SO BLESSED!!!!!!!!

Today, I am thankful for my realtor. We are in the process of moving and my attorney's office is being less than helpful, so I am thankful for Laura, who is calling them for me before I have a breakdown.:D

Cari, thanks for the post, it was wonderful. I too have an adopted child, my granddaughter, and she is the light of my life. I forget all about my IC when I am around her. Take care and God bless, Iris.:hi: :grouphug: :flower:

Thank you so much for posting...I think it is great to think of one thing that you are grateful for each day, even if the chips are really down. Take good care of yourself and your wonderful friends and family. :)

Love,
Jess
