Last Thursday I decided 2 help my weight I could at least walk 4 the mail down the street. I was walking & I saw a seagull in the grass, I have never seen one sitting down, so I thought it was strange. I looked closer & saw he had a circle of blood on his wing & he tried 2 fly but fell over & couldn't. It didn't look like a animal bit him but like another bird pecked him or something. I was so upset about that bird. I didn't know what I could do 4 him, it was about 5 pm & the animal control office was closed, I couldn't bring a seagull into my house! I have 8 cats & a ferret, he'd have a better chance on the street! I got the mail & went home & got some bread & started 2 throw it 2 him, he was so scared. If I got 2 close he would getr scared & try 2 fly so I kept my distance. I was so upset that entire night. My boyfriend didn't want me 2 pick it up cuz of how birds r getting sick & dying, he didn't want 2 take a chance w/our animals. Good point. So the next morning I went out 2 check on him & now he was in the driveway, I ran inside & called animal control & went outside 2 meet the animal control guy & now the bird was in the street! I just knew some jerk would think it was funny 2 hit the bird. I was in the street w the bird & the animal control guy put in this big glove & the bird tried 2 run & fly but couldn't, he was so scared he latched onto the glove & he put him in a cage & the animal welfare league was gonna take him. They take any animal in, they have roosters, pigs, birds, any animal u could think of its there. I just hope that he will be ok soon. So that was my good deed 4 the day! Hope u all don't think I'm crazy!:loco:
