I went to a Naturopathic Doctor yesterday for quite a few things, and he gave me a list of herbs he wanted me to try. Well we went to several stores yesterday, and just trying to figure out where we can get these items cheap, but still have good quality. I am still looking for Glucosamine Sulfate, Castor Oil Packs (confused cause I find castor oil, and castor oil pack kit, but not just castor oil packs) and also a med called Remifemin. I think I know where I can get the Remifemin and Glucosamine the cheapest, but want to see if I can find anywhere online it will be cheaper but still good brands. So if anyone has had experiences with these, or just know any good websites to get herbs and meds on please let me know! Thanks!

Castor oil packs, go to your local health food store get cold pressed castor oil. I am not sure where you would get this, but it's suggested (on different websites) to get a piece of unbleached flannel that you can fold three to four times that will cover the area, a piece of plastic wrap and a hot water bottle. You saturate the flannel w/the oil, squeeze out excess, place it on the skin, cover completely w/plastic wrap to prevent the oil from leaking out and getting all over clothes, sofa anything else, then cover the plastic w/a hot water bottle, I cant remember why not a heating pad but I do remember every site I checked said hot water bottle. I tried it with regular flannel, lady at my local health food store said she used it that way and it didnt make a difference. This is good for inflammation. LOL I fell asleep many times with that on me. ;) Oh, you can also reuse the same flannel w/the same oil on it by putting it in a baggie into the fridge after use. I cant remember the wording but basically it doesnt contaminate or anything. Can be used for sore muscles too! Glucosamine should be available at any health food store also. Good luck to ya!

I called my doctor and figured it out. What it is is I'm suppose to get the castor oil, and then what he meant by the pack is to put a warm water bottle on it. I just thought it meant get something called castor oil pack, now I know just to get the castor oil. Yeah I have heard of using the flannel thing, but I'm gonn just try it with the warm water bottle first, and just make sure to have a towel under me.
