I'm so grateful to have a hobby that takes my mind off of my daily struggles.

For those who've been asking, or if you just like to take a peek into my world, here's a picture of the cabinets I made:

I don't know what my next project will be, but you can be sure I'll be scribbling new plans on graph paper soon.

Keeping you all in my prayers.

With Love,
Cricket

Thank you! :) Your kind replies are so very much appreciated.

I find that when I'm putting all my concentration on being safe with power tools, my health concerns are put on hold. Woodworking is a wonderful means of pain control for me.

Joy, since you have all the tools and the books, AND the tape measure skill, I say go for it girl! The wood can get a little costly, so I mainly use pine. Check out construction sites. You'd be amazed at how much good wood they throw away. I've gotten a lot of free wood for smaller projects from construction sites.
Another good resource for free wood is cabinet making shops. I also get a lot of hardware (screws, hinges, knobs and such) by taking them off of furniture that people throw out.

Thanks, again, for taking the time to take a peek into my world.

Cricket,
Your woodworking is beautiful! It is so true that hobbies are a great way of taking our minds off our pain. No matter what the hobby is, its good therapy!

Keep up the good work,
Lyn

I agree with everyone and I'd like to say sell that stuff to ME! It's so hard to find quality furniture. Beautiful stuff, Cricket.
