I also have IBS there is a medicine called Zelnorm that helps with this problem. I also take in pill form Prodiem that keeps me regular (its a high fiber pill ). There are probably other medications to try. One that works for one person may not work for another so keep trying. I hope you get help. :)
My Primary Care Doc, just gave me some info on Zelnorm. I haven't looked at it yet.

Hello,
The medications I've tried for IBS didn't work. What DOES work, and is all natural are peppermint oil capsules!
They keep me from getting the horrible cramping/diarrhea after I eat. I take 2 20 minutes before I eat and it works like a charm.
My doc vouched for them as well, and also said to try taking psyllium husks for the fiber.

Bentyl helps with mostly diarrhea IBS. It is an anti-spasm medication. i take one in the morning and one at night. I use to go to the bathroom with diarrhea close to 5-6 times a day, now once a day regular. The cramping is decreased and the urge to go right after I eat is less.

I take a drug called Pamine, an anti-spasmodic like Bentyl, but with less side-affects. Still get tired though. And, when I have to take it with Immodium, all I want to do is crash and go to sleep! But, the Pamine has been mostly a lifesaver.
I'm in a terrible cramp/diarrhea cycle now that has lasted for the past 3 days. Haven't had a "flare" like this in almost a year. But, I know it's b/c for the last week or so I was not totally following all my eating rules, and I'm under more stress than usual. Trying to plan my wedding and look for a new apartment with my fiance -- so not managing my stress related to these things, and not eating properly and regularly, certainly led up to this. Just trying to break the cycle now with rest, peppermint tea, Pamine 4x a day, Fibercon and warm baths to keep things relaxed. Hoping to go back to work tomorrow. I take the train into the city every day, so I need to be sure I'm under control.
ANYWAY, maybe ask your doc about Pamine as well if you're still looking for drug alternatives for d-prone IBS.
I'm a huge advocate of Fibercon too. I take at least 4-6 pills a day. Usually two before each meal and that works very well to not only prevent the diarrhea but to also keep me from getting constipated.
