How do you do it?? I created a user name and all that, but what on earth do I put under "Review?" What am I reviewing? It's gotta be the blonde.

Angela, did I email that to you? I know the company emailed me hoping I would encourage others with IC to go rate because they are just starting the IC section.
Mel, I have been reviewing any specific thing about the treatment....like if something really upset me or made me thrilled....sometimes just an overview of the treatment. Glad you are participating....this could be a helpful site for us in the future if enough of us go there and rate things.

Ok Angela I know I forwarded the message to some friends that I knew would be active in helping with IC! :) My info says that was you. Oh well.
I got this Mon 6/28/2004. They put a bigger picture of me at her site than ICN did...oh no!
Hi Katrina,
I was browsing the web and came across the listing for your IC Support Group. I wanted to let you know about a new section for Interstitial Cystitis on my website RemedyFind, and was hoping that you or some of your members might feel like sharing some of your IC treatment experiences.
A little background. Remedyfind is a free, non-commercial and unbiased site (not sponsored by any drug companies etc.) that lets individuals rate the effectiveness of the treatments they have used for specific health conditions. I started it 3 years ago to try to find help with treatments for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (which I’ve had for some 20 years). After doing the CFS section I realized the same approach could also work for other chronic health conditions, and so the site has now grown to cover 28 conditions and has some 45,000 members and newsletter subscribers. After a number of requests I’ve just last weekend added a section for Interstitial Cystitis. Nearly 150 treatments are currently listed – from bladder instillation and pain medications to supplements and diets etc. (and please suggest others that should be included).
Obviously everyone is different, and what works for one person with IC won’t necessarily work for another, but my hope is that certain trends might show themselves over time, and after hundreds or thousands of parent / patient ratings. In the future we will be adding features that allow users to view ratings according to specific diagnoses and subtypes, as well as according to gender, age etc.. In the meantime, members say that it is simply helpful to hear other parent / patient accounts of what has, or hasn’t, worked for them.
We would love to start getting IC treatment ratings – good, bad or ugly. As the section is brand new it really doesn't have many treatment ratings posted yet and I’m just trying to get word out to as many individuals / groups as possible. The site is free and members can be as anonymous as they would like - you choose your own member name and your contact information is not shared with anyone.
All the best,
Brett Hodges
