Ensure nutritional supplement

Does anyone know if Ensure nutritional supplement drink in vanilla flavor (high protein kind) is "safe" to drink or does it cause a flare? I've lost so much weight. This was recommended by my dr's nurse.

Vanilla is fermented and could cause a problem. There are lots of ingredients in that stuff-it's risky.

I just chow down on white rice to keep from losing too much weight.

Ensure shouldn't be a problem. When I had TMJ surgery, my doctor suggested either Ensure or Boost nutritional drinks --- I ended up drinking Boost because it tastes better.
