I found this new "toy" that has helped me get back into exercising. It's a little step-machine. I got it at a store in the mall that only sells stuff they sell in info-mercials. I wanted some exercise I can do inside because the Elavil & Ditropan are making it hard to exercise outdoors when it's hot. (I seem to be sunburning more easily & also don't think I sweat normally on these meds)

It's pretty solid, weighted down, like a stair-master without the handles. I decided to try this when I realized that going upstairs doesn't bother my bladder but going down stairs does. This is like a perpetual upstairs movement. I got it Wednesday and did 100 steps that day. Yesterday I did 150 steps, and still no flare, though my quads are reminding me of the experience. So, will try 200 steps next to see if that's okay too.

Okay, that's all. Just posted in case it might work for someone else too :)

Let us know how you do w/your new gadget. I found some indoor walking tapes that are pretty good, no jumping or jolting movements. I can do the one mile tape with no problem, haven't worked up to the two mile yet, taking it REAL easy! I used to love going to the gym and using the stair stepper machine. I have a nice gym type machine here, lots of different weights and a stepper, but at this time, I think I will stay w/the tapes, just to keep it easy. Good luck w/the machine!!!

Hi WW,
You know, you're the third person this week who's mentioned indoor walking tapes! Which ones do you have?

(I'm doing pretty good on the stepper so far! Today I "stepped" 250! (About 4 minutes) I was pretty happy today, I stopped because I ran out of air-not because of IC!) :woohoo:

Thanks for answering my post!

I have Walk Away the Pounds by Leslie Sansone. I (well my mom bought them I took them from her after a year of watching them collect dust LOL) have a set that came with one, two and three mile walk tapes and a 10 minute tone up. (its got stomach work outs on that one, I dont bother w/it) also came with weighted balls u can use to add a LITTLE weight and burn more calories. Its a very good set. I just do the one mile, takes about 18 minutes or so. Theres days I use the weights theres days I dont. Depends on how I feel. Ok, going to go, have a dvd of my favorite band going and I cant type when they are on LOL.
