Ovaltine malt?

Hi all,
At the grocery store today I noticed Ovaltine makes a malt flavor drink. It seemed to have okay ingredients, but I hate buying stuff that doesn't work out... Has anyone tried it?

HI Kadi! I'm sorry I can't help you with this one. I've never tried it. HOpe you find some luck with it.

Check out the ingredients. If it says it has vitamin C, I can't tolerate it--even if it is only 2% of the daily requirement. I can do the Carnation Milk Vanilla Breakfast Drink--no vitamin C.

Even some vanilla ice cream has vitamin c added--why in the world is that? and I get a terrible flare. Now I eat only ice cream that I buy myself so I know it's safe.

Doesn't Ovaltine have chocolate in it?

Okay- Went back to grocery store & reread label. Nope, no chocolate in the Malt flavored Ovaltine, but it's loaded with vitamin supplementation - which the manufacturers put in a separate category from the ingredients on the label (I didn't read far enough down). Phooey.
Was looking for something safe to drink besides Carob Rice Dream, which is okay sometimes, but not during flares... When I'm not flaring (which I hope is sometime soon), will try Teecino.
