don't take meds not prescribed for you

Hi Guys,

Don't ever take meds not prescribed for you. if colace is needed for you, you must talk to your dr, uro. you don't want to overdue and have constipation or the other which will cause you big problems.

IBS is the freqency of constipation and the other. it's not fun. get a grip on it, it's not fun. i've been fighting it since i was a teenager and been hospitalized numerous times.,

I take Colace every day, it's over the counter.

What kind of Colace do you take? I counldn't find any there was not a laxative. Even those had yellow and red dye which my bladder can not handle.

Colace is an over the counter stool softener. There are two kinds --- one has a laxative, the other is just the softener.

When taking over the counter meds, it is important that you read all of the information that comes with it and follow the recommended dosage. If you have concerns about interactions with prescription medications, your pharmacist can answer your questions. And if you're taking an over the counter medication full time, you'll want to mention it to your doctor.

Sunshine, I don't know about the dies. I think the capsul in the colace has a red half to it. I take Equate, Walmarts brand. I take the kind w/out the laxative.

If anyone has CVS Pharmacy, I noticed in their ad this week, they have Colace on sale.

Julie, thank you! I kinda like it myself. It's short for Blueangel. I use Blueangel for my email. It has a double meaning. I love airplanes, and there are some called Blueangels, they are Navy Jets. Also, I like angels, so it kinda fits.

I'm going to check it out as soon as I can get to Walmart. I'm leaving this moring for Myrtle Beach and I'm hoping I won't have any problems. I usually do when I go on a trip though.
