Has anyone tried this by itself for IC? I have a friend that has had pretty amazing results for bowel inflammation brought on by radiation burns for ovarian cancer I think it was. She was due for surgery and was able to avoid it. She's been trying for years to get me to try it for IC. Didn't think it could hurt anything, just wasn't sure it could help. I was reading the ingredients in the Essentials trying to figure out which components might have helped with inflammation for the women on this list that got help since it's unlikely I can take grape seed and the minerals, and some of the other things listed which I've already bombed on. I see that olive leaf is mentioned in the Essentials and now I'm wondering if that might be responsible for the decreased inflammation.

Hi,
Im robin, and I have I c with I think, Vulvodynia.. I do pretty good though. I really really have to make an effort though. My hubby is in the navy, hes gone alot, and I have three small children. No family around, we move alot.... Its tough, because I really strugle with taking care of Me. I have tried olive leaf before, and I think It caused me great pain in my bladder. Maybie ITS TOO acidic. My protocal is lots of water, I feel best if I drink one gallon a day, or carry around a water bottle with me everywhere. I dont have the urges to urinate like others do. I tend to hold my urine. Strange... Cysta Q daily, prelef, every meal, and no chocolate or caffine, and visteril 25 mg a day. I was diagnosed 8 months ago. I really would like to take olive leaf, Its so good for virusis and colds, but I think Its making me flare. Has any one else experienced olive leaf? Thanks!
Robin

I really think Its worth looking at. I am very much into natural theripies in aiding with my Intersticial cystitis. I am concerned that olive leaf, dispite of all its wonderfull properties in healing, could be too acidic for Ic bladers... I have had blader pain when I took it.

Hi Robin,
My hubby just retired from the Navy a couple of years ago so I thought I would say "hi" and welcome aboard! I haven't tried the olive leaf extract though. I'm on elmiron and hydroxyzine with good results.
