Hi Susan! I'm thinking that you're probably recovering from surgery right now, so I thought I'd have a message waiting for you once you were able to get back to your computer! How did it go? I hope that it went really well, that you're feeling good, and that the rest of the process goes smoothly. Sending you gentle hugs and best wishes, little bear

I'm sorry to say but my surgery did not go so well. No pain relief in 3 days. Also, I don't know how to use this new site.

I want to say thank all of you for caring about me. I am doing soooo good. I went from 36 times a day down to 8-10 . My incision on the second one is taking its time to heal, but nothing to worry about. My dr., was so happy with my progress, his eyes welled up in tears. This was his frist stim!!! He did great. I know this is not for pain, but i am improvong. If I can help ANYONE I will. Thanks so much Cindy and Jess!!!!!

Susan, that is great! I am so happy to hear that it works so well on you. I know it must be such a relief after having to void so many times. My frequency right now is similar to yours (when not on pain medications, which greatly lessen the frequency) and I am considering interstim as the last two options available to me according to my uro are interstim and bladder removal. I hope you heal up very quickly and the interstim works like this forever for you.

Blessings, Lori

LORI,
I just don't know how to put into words, how much better I am. READ everything you can on the stim, and talk to everyone that HAS HAD THE SURGERY. I will help you anyway I can, but only you can answer that question. I am so happy with the stim, it gave me my life back. I NEVER NEVER go more than once in an hour!! I was going every 15 min.
I took a lot of pain meds too, I am still taking them until my incision heals up
Maybe one of these days I can get off all of it, but if I do its just a bonus.

Oh, Susan, I am so glad that you are so much better! Maybe soon you will even only go every other hour, maybe the frequency will go down even further, I've heard of that happening, that sometimes after a couple of weeks it works even better than the first couple of days. I hope also that, although interstim is not for pain, that somehow your pain level will go down enough that you are able to go off pain meds.

For me, the urgency/frequency and pain are all together and it's really hard for me to figure out how much misery is caused by each one. I'm thinking if I get rid of the urgency/frequency that maybe the pain meds could go...right now I am kind of leaning in the direction of trying Interstim. There are some terrible risks, but...to have my life back...

Blessings, Lori

Hi Brat,
Thanks for being so nice to me in my time of need. People have been writing to me, and if I don't know the answe, I send them to you, is that ok?? How do you know when you need to get it programmed. I think I do, because the higher I go, it hits the rectum and not the flutter I was told it should feel like, is that happening to you??
THANKS SO MUCH LOTS OF LOVE

you don't need to keep turning up the programer susan, it will work if you don't feel it ((((hugs))))... if your frequency shoots up alot and stays up, more then about 4 days then I would call and ask your dr.. I know when I am voiding a milion times a day.. you may also go more if you drink more.. always here for you, you know that.. any time:)
hugs

BRAT,
I went into Wal-mart Friday, and it seems I am having a little trouble with my stim. Am I crazy?? I peed yesterday more than usual and today. Otherwise I am soooo glad I had it done. I ask myself WHY???? Did I wait sooo long??? Has anyone been to a tanning salon since they got the stim. Medtronics says its okay as long as it doesn't bother me, but I would like to know if anyone has been??????? You just turn it off.
