Hi everyone,
I just want to report that for the last 35 hours I have had no pain in the bladder at all. No urgency, no burning, nothing but smooth sailing. I don't know if the Elmiron has kicked in or what but I am keeping my fingers crosse that this flare, which I have been in for almost 7 months, is finally letting go. I can only hope and pray.
It's not because I have been watching my diet, either. I ate some of that licorice my daughter gave me and within a half hour the pain had stopped, so I tested the waters, really badly, too. I had pizza for supper, pepsi to go along with it and even drank two beers, something I never do. I just wanted to see if this was some kind of fluke or a real honest to God miracle was occuring in my body. Of course, I downed about 4 Prelief beforehand, just in case, but still no pain. I feel amazing.
Tomorrow I will go back to that stressful job of mine and the real test will begin, but for whatever reason I am pain free today and I hope I won't be back on here tomorrow whining about how bad I feel. I must keep up a positive attitude. Oh and all this is without any pain medication of any kind. I have been taking my Elmiron as directed, along with my Detrol La and an Alavert antihistimine and my normal heart medicine and nothing different.
I just wanted to share this with someone. Even if it doesn't last, at least for the time it does I can sort of remember the days before pain, and it's like a slice of heaven!!!!!!:angel:
