i had a laporoscopy and cysto a week ago. they found i had severe endo and couldn't remove all of it. a week later, i am still in horrible pain and get no relief from any meds. how long have some of you gone b'f you felt better? and did your pain get worse before it got better? i have no UTI from the surgery, so i'm not sure what's got me so flared. any suggestions/answers would greatly help. tx

I know that while I had surgery, I was cathed for about four hours which put my bladder over the edge. I felt fine from the surgery, but worse in other ways. Most people take depo provera or Lupron to follow up and remove the rest of the endo, but make sure you look it these meds carefully. There are some side effects only other patients and message boards will tell you about. Each persons experience is different. I gained 75 pounds on depo provera and could never lose it - and I had a seizure while on Lupron, but no one will ever say that is what it was from. My prayers go out to you - as I am sure you know don't make any decisions in haste. Investigate all options your doctors give you. Urised can give you relief from the irritation of being cathed, or pyridium , but urised can be used for extended periods of time where pyridium can't.

i was doing okay after my last lap and cysto, but about a week later, my right ureter started spasming. none of my pain meds were helping, the uro was being a jerk, so my gyn called in b&o suppositories for me. i only used them 2 or 3 times, but they really did relieve the pain. the pain should go away soon, but you might be having some spasms from the procedure. try urised or pyridium first. if they don't help, call your doc.

Rest....did you any med for spasming? I found that can make a difference. I posted some things you can download about relieveing pain....they are the best ideas I have.
http://www.ic-network.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=55806#post55806

there are 4 attachements to dowload...the last one is the list of my ideas....the others are pictures to help you with some of those ideas.....after you click on the zip document and coose open they will all be word documents...completely safe.

I hope somewhere, somehow you find pain relief.....I know IC and endo together suck big time.....and are even worse if you have just gone through a cysto and laproscopy.....Take care (((hugs))
