How do you fix this tea?

My husband is wanting me to fix yellow root tea he went to the creek today and got the yellow root. what do i need to fix it. what is it for? Please help.

It would depend on the plant. If it's yellow dock, it's a laxative and diuretic. Yellow jasmine is a sedative.

I haven't the faintest idea how to make tea from it.

Hello,
I don't know about the yellow root, but I used to make Sassafras tea from the roots. Clean the root and remove small roots and wash thoroughly. Add to a pan of cold water and bring to a boil. Simmer until the "tea" has a color.
I guess that this technique would work with any "root".
