OK....now I know this may sound stupid, but I saw a new Uro today....sooooo much better than my old one. She knew so much more about IC.

She said she wants to start me on a therapy that is used on bladder cancer patients....she said it would be 8 weeks of hell and then the bladder would begin to heal itself. The problem is for the life of me, I can't remember what she called it. I think it was initials and maybe started with a R? I know I should have listen better, but I was at the hospital till 4:00am this morning with a major flare and have been on pain meds since. As my daughter always says.....I'm having a blonde moment.:loco:

If anyone knows what I'm talking about....please let me know.

Was it BCG or RTX?

Hon i'm sorry i don't know what it is but if you can find the name of it and need help finding the information after you get the name i would be happy to help you find it.

BCG is used for bladder cancer; I suspect that's what it is. If you go to the Patient Handbook at http://www.ic-network.com/handbook/ and look for the information on instillations, you'll find some information about BCG.
