I'm in the perpetual process of getting to the root of all these problems:rolleyes: , but I'm wondering if any of you have cyclical issues as well, and could you share them with me, OR, any ways you've found to deal with them.

After some internet research, I'm convinced I have PMS. Everything about my body goes haywire between ovulation and "flow". Emotions, pain, hot flashes, etc. And, no, it's not early menopause. Does anyone else experience this? How do you combat it? I read that it's basically a matter of improving "lifestyle", i.e., exercise, suppliments, less bad stuff (caffine, etc.) and sometimes meds like Prozac during the pms time.

Anyone?

Thanks!

Hi I have PMS too. I can't take any form of birth control pill or anything else they give me severe adverse reactions. I have been on diffenent anti depressants but other than that nothing! I have tried prozac, welbutrin, paxil, zoloft, and now I'm on elivil more for the IC than PMS. I don't know what advice I could give you because I'm still sorting out m y own health mess still. I have kept a record on my calander of every period I've had since my first child 8 years ago. I always have severe pains the week before it and have always had heavy periods, I make sure I don't make any drastic decisions because I go emotionally haywire around a certain time every month for two weeks. My docs suck so unitl I find better ones this is how i handle it. Sometimes I've had to take hydrocodone, T3, or vicodin. But it has been insaine trying to get someone to perscribe me pain pills. I hope you have better luck. Take care - Chris

I had HORRIBLE PMS. Crying, irritable, etc. at the drop of a hat. I went on Lexapro last summer and it helped beyond belief. I really don't have any PMS now.

I remember the month it kicked in how I was "surprised" by my period when I went to the bathroom. In the past I always knew it was coming b/c I was a raving lunatic. LOL :)

Oh how i hate that time of the mth. a week before my mthly starts i get a true uti we don't know the cause of that yet but working on it.
then i suffer like crazy until after my mthly is over.
what i do is heating pad or ice pack which ever helps heparin and marcaine treatments that numbs my angery bladder i give myself treatments.
and pain medicine with a nerve pill that helps relax my bladder.
sending you hugs and prayers
