Hi everyone,

I'm currently on my second UTI in a row (I posted on one of the latest UTI postings. It's a different bacteria this time, how that happened, I don't know.

My question is this:

When you have an infection, do any of you have your husbands or boyfriends give a urine culture too, to make sure you're not passing it back and forth?

My husband has prostate problems, so he often feels the symptoms without an actual infection. So its hard for me to know whether to send him or not.

Any ideas or comments?

My uro will issue an order for a urine culture to a lab....I always take sterile containers from his office so I have them when I need them. All's I have to do is drop the urine off at the lab and all's I pay is a couple of dollars on the co-pay instead of a dr's visit PLUS waiting in his office....

If it's something that you are concerned about, I think for your own peace of mind, you should go ahead and do it.

sending tons of hugs~

If you're having recurring infections, I do think it's a good idea for your hubby to be checked too --- just to be sure he isn't a carrier.
