Hi guys!
After careful consideration (a $3K deductable) and consultation with my uro, we decided not to do the procedure at the last minute. I have another appt in a month. She plans to use a local in her office with a scope to finish the diagnoses. The hydro and biopsy will have to wait for now. I told her that I would really like to work with my diet and meds some more and she agreed that that was best. I am on Elmiron capsules, vioxx, and muscle relaxers for now. It all seems to be going pretty well. Only the occasional flare, most likely due to foods that I need to weed out and running around too much. I have two boys at home for the summer. Just going to wally world puts me in a flare....
I am really worried about our trip to Indiana. We are driving and it's going to be about 10 hrs for two days each way! OUCH!!! Any meds that I should ask for from my uro before I go?

I'm glad you were able to work with your doctor. Insurance just makes me so mad! We pay so much in premiums, and still have to pay out the rear when we need a procedure done!

Crossin my fingers and sayin a prayer all goes well Blue! Let us know how u r in a few days after you recoop a bit. :) Waiting to hear from my doc after my ordeal, from what I have been hearing, seems thats the only thing left the docs haven't tried w/me.
