Hi everybody! :) I read a little article in the ic handbook about certain herbs. Has anyone ever tried marshmallow capsules or aloe vera?

I was taking the aloe vera capsules, I stop taking them. I rather drink the organic aloe vera juice and thats what I'm drinking now. I just started taking glucosamine sulfate. I been feeling good so far and I have cut out alot of stress.
I've been meaning to try aloe vera since sleepy angel suggested it to me, I still haven't!

Haven't tried aloe, but tried marshmallow root in liquid form, made sure it was the one w/o alcohol. It did seem to help w/the bladder. But it got expensive on top of all the meds. (about $10 every 6-7 days) I just bought the capsules, haven't tried them yet though. If I do and I remember (lets just say I have a memory like my mom and that's not good lol) I will post and let ya know what I thought of em. :)

I've tried the Marshmellow Root liquid but the smell eventually made me stop. I put it in acid free tea every morning but it overpowered the tea to the point I couldn't go near it. My boyfriend found this on the internet: http://www.desertharvest.com/interstitial_cystitis.html They are for aloe vera capsules. They will send you a free sample as well as information. I haven't tried them yet, but I will start some time soon I'm sure.

I actually have marshmellow root tea. I bought it years ago from a health store that specially ordered it for me. It came as loose tea, not in bags. When I made the tea, it didn't have much of a taste to it, but I think it may have helped me.

I've tried marshmallow root tea but found that it didn't help me. However, I have read that it has helped others. It's always worth trying... we are all so different.

I have been taking Aloe Vera caps for over a year. I have had 5 or 6 mini-flares but nothing like the orginial onset. The added bonus is the Aloe Vera keeps you regular as I suffered with constipation for years.I found an inexpensive site on the internet. Sue
