I changed my avitar today, you can see him. He came into my life shortly after my dad died.......I brought him home from the shelter on my birthday. I have always felt he was my birthday present from my dad that year.

What a monster.....busy busy all the time......but the last week I have felt terrible and he has been right by me every day. He can tell, I think, when I just need a cuddle. Or maybe he is taking advantage of my sedentary hours of feeling icky....giggles.....he craves attention.

Julie

PS: Anyone who has ever had a Bichon knows the irony of it.........they are exceptionally hard to train. ;)

But Julie, even if hard to train, are they not the sweetest lil dogs you ever did see? I have a 4 yr old bichon named Maggie. She is well trined except that her constant barking was an issue ( and I do mean CONSTANT!!!:yikes:anyhow, I just got her a barking collar...when she wears it and barks, she gets a little spray of citronella in her sweet lil face. It has been quite effective, and now she rarely barks, even with the collar off. Enjoy your sweet cuddly pup...they love to snuggle when they sense you are sick, sad...I just love my sweet little Maggie. Hope you enjoy yours as well! :dogrun: :hi: Sheri

I love the new picture. I have another one of those cuddly doggies --- ours is not a little dog by any means, but she does curl up beside me on the recliner with her front paws and head in my lap.

Hugs,
Donna

Oh Shari, you are right......We have said a million times, if Bichons were not so cute and loving, they wouldn't even be a breed anymore because people wouldn't put up with the bad potty habits............he isn't allowed in the carpeted areas anymore, he has invisible fence in the house too (either that or my husband was going to just lose it!)

But, I have never known a more "romantic" dog! LOL that is how we describe him. So, when one of us is on the computer he is generally snugged up right behind against our behind..........and unlike my 15 year old poodle, he will fall sound asleep in your lap.

Howie says hi the all the other wonderful IC pets out there! :-)

Maggie says a hello right back to Howie! He looks exactly like her! I have to agree, potty habits are still an issue, but only if she is real excited, or you go to pick her up, or put her leash on...ugghh:tsk: I have to wonder if that will ever end!:hmm: :puppy: Again, enjoy, and all the best for happy painfree days ahead!
