Pain Meds

I have the form of ic that comes w/ chronic palvic pain. :( I take alot of meds, I ran out of my neurontin, I am still on my cobra health insurance.( the township is paying for it $427.95 month) I can't be w/out insurance. I also have a prescription card in the plan, but w/no income I couldn't afford it! It's only $20.00, but I don't even have $1! That's so sad. I have a boyfriend that helps me out, sometimes. Anyways, I went w/out my neurontin for 4 days, the worst 4 days of my life!!!!!:( I thought my pain was bad be4, it was so bad I couldn't do anything. I was in so much pain& I felt funny. I can't believe it, I got my neurontin yesterday & I still have pain, but I guess it takes the edge off. I still have to take the demerol, but not as many at all. And the neurontin & detrol company(connection to care) denied me for their assistance programs for free meds. I have NO INCOME at all. If I didn't need that medicine so much I would boycot it!LOL They said since I have a private ins I don't qualify, I go w/out cuz I can't afford the copay, I can't believe it!!! I can't believe the neurontin works so well. ( i take 2400mgs daily) I can't believe how funny or weird w/out the medicine. I hope that wasn't withdrawls, do you go into withdrawls if u stop taking your neurontin?

Some medications do make it necessary to gradually wean from them. One of the most common ones is cortisone --- your body can do funny things if you suddenly stop some medications. It's always a good idea to discuss it with your doctor.

With that high dose I do believe I would need to be weined off of Neurontin if taking that regularly and than stopping....it can be dangerous thing to do.

I so feel for your troubleswith medicines
1-800-603-7831 is this the company that denied you free meds? Anyway it is an option for some if you qualify to get free meds.

I hope somehow you get help.
