Thanks to Kadi who just let us know about shortage of sterile sodium bicarbonate solution that is used to make many bladder instillations including heparin, elmiron and rescue instillations. Availability is minimal at this time with many pharmacies out of stock. The three manufacturers report have similar outages. Some batches may be arriving later this month! Please pass the word along to your IC friends using home instills.

Hi:

I was able to get my Sodium Bicarbonate from the Osco Pharmacy at Albertsons. I think a lot of pharmacies that do compounding can make this for you. That is what Osco is doing for me.

Thanks for this site!!!!
