Hi everyone,

My name is Kristie and I really need some help. I currently live near the philadelphia area but am going home to oklahoma in one week. I have IC but you cannot imagine ( okay maybe you can) what I have been through in trying to find someone to treat. My primary has told me to find an IC specialist and make an appointment before I get there since waits can be so long. If anyone can help me, I would be closest to dallas have personal choice insurance and am just looking for someone near/in that area that specializes in this frustrating disorder. Feel free to email me personally or I will check posts here. Thanks to everyone. I do not post often but read all the time and everyone here is amazing and a wealth of knowledge.

Hi,
I hope you will love it here in the area as much as we do. We moved here 5 years ago from the midwest. As far as Dr.s go there are plenty of uros here who do treat IC patients. I only know of ones in the Fort Worth area. There are some over that way and when I get back and have some time maybe later today I will see what I can find and post some.

www.uant.com is the group i use. they have locations all over north texas. in the las colinas office (in dallas practically) is a great dr. dr tchetgen. i was seeing her for about a year, but had to switch to a guy in the south arlington office when i moved in march. she's amazing and very sympathetic. she wants you to be honest and straight with her, and she'll be honest and straight with you. i love her to pieces, and i hated having to switch.

good luck. their website is really helpful. and if you call the main number and tell them what's going on, they'll find an IC spec who's just right for you.

I am back again. Here is the link from the ICN about Dr.s
http://www.ic-network.com/md/doctorlistings.html#TX

I also use a UANT Dr. his name is Dr. Price and he is in the Fort Worth and Arlington office. He has been wonderful. There is also a Dr. that some of the people who go to a support group over in Richardson go to and they seem to like him real well. I am sorry I don't know his name.

If we can be of further assistance, let us know.

:hi: Kristi,

I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My URO is wonderful! His name is Dr. John Forrest. He is an IC Specialist and I highly recommend him. He holds seminars all over the country to educate other doctors and gyno's on IC. I think he is the greatest! Good luck! Feel free to email me at tillysav@yahoo.com
