I am to go in for a hydro and instillation of chlorpactin. I have read some do it at home . I was told it needed to be done while you are out. I am for feeling no pain so that doesn't bother me but what am I to expect when I wake up. It is nice to be prepared. thanks for any input.

Hi,
Make sure you understand your different treatment options. Chlorpactin is not used much anymore. It is one of the older treatment options and can be quite painful. There are other installation solutions available. It might be worth your time to read up on all the different ones and see if you really want to go this route. I believe we had someone recently go through the chlorpactin route. Hopefully they will see this and comment. Good Luck.

Please read the guest lecture by Alfred Globus, inventor of Clorpactin and CEO of the company that makes it. His company has never supported the use of Clorpactin during hydrodistention as it causes a great amount of pain. Also, there are some dosage issues that you should be aware of.

You can find that at: http://www.ic-network.com/guestlectures/
